More than any other type of wildlife, it is birds that hold man in their spell. They are active and attractive. From the smallest to the largest wing span, they can be magnificent flyers as well as dashing hunters. It is that miraculous mysterious ability to fly that has held man's interest from the beginning. Some birds can make beautiful music, and many please us with their willingness to come to feeders. We are fascinated with their preoccupation with nests and their nestlings. Much of our interest with birds lies in their diversity and ubiquitousness.
